Where to Dive Each Month: A Practical Calendar
“Best places to dive in [month]” searches are really about matching water temperature, visibility and wildlife windows. Use this calendar as a starting point, then confirm with operators.

Northern winter (Dec–Feb)
Warm favourites: Maldives house reefs and channels; Red Sea liveaboards with pleasant air temps for many Europeans. Atlantic Tenerife stays diveable with thicker exposure suits.
Spring (Mar–May)
Mediterranean warming begins—good for Medes, Mallorca and Malta as suits get lighter. Red Sea remains strong.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Peak Med season for European holiday diving. Watch jellyfish advisories (jellyfish guide). Tropical sites are warm; plan sun and hydration carefully.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
Often excellent visibility windows in parts of the Med and Red Sea. Shoulder season can mean quieter boats.
